First Day of Kindergarten

Last day at Cornerstone...

Their play, The Three Little Kittens. Hayden was the Mother Kitten. : )

Holly tells Hayden they have a present for him.

With Jenny and Tiana.

With Audrey.

First day at Elementary School...

Luigi had to have his picture taken first. (Luigi is the favorite this week, not Mario.)

Rylie was disappointed that I didn't have time to feed her some almond butter. I told her she could take it with her to daycare and they'd let her eat it there.

Rylie wants to be in the pictures, too. With the almond butter.

Luigi needed his picture taken while getting into the car.

Hayden's first day of Kindergarten went well.  I think.  By the middle of the day, he either got a stomach bug, or made himself so nervous that he made himself sick. His teacher called at 1 that he was resting in the classroom. She called again at 2:45 because he was at the nurse and didn't want to go outside for recess. At that point I knew it must be serious!  : )  When I got there he was curled up in a ball in the nurse's office, whimpering. His temp was 102.  That evening he threw up twice.  He woke up the next morning at 4, 4:30, and 5.  I finally let him get up at 5 and he was chattering up a storm, ready to start his day, and no longer nervous about school.  I had prayed beforehand that he would have a good first day, or if not, that it be for a reason. I wonder if the reason he got sick was to allow him to ease into school.  As usual, I'm probably thinking there's a rhyme or reason to something that's random, but that's me.  : )

The rest of the week has been uneventful.  I've not gotten a call after the first day, and he's gotten his good behavior sticker on his chart each evening from the teacher.  Let's hope this is a sign that all will go smoothly for him and his teachers!

In other news...

I'm taking Rylie to the DAN doctor tomorrow for thrush. She is not a happy girl. : (

Time to move my focus back from Hayden over to Rylie and see how we can help her kick this yeast. She has been craving carbs and going through the cabinets bringing me food with carbs (not allowed on the SCD diet.) I'm hoping tomorrow's appointment doesn't bring 12 more things for me to do each night. : )   I'll keep you posted!
